COOLIDGE PERSONALITY AND NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL INVENTORY (CPNI)

The Coolidge Personality Test has been designed to aid parents and professionals in the identification of problematic behaviors in childhood and adolescence. Please answer these questions as they apply to this child's present behavior compared to most other children's normal behavior. Try to be as honest and as open as you can be.  A few parents who complete the inventory will deny all problems with their children. In such cases, there is no help whatsoever that we can offer. All children are certain to show some of these behaviors, so do not worry if you seem to be endorsing a lot of questions as true for this child. The test has been designed to help children, not to hurt or penalize them. We believe that the proper identification of problem behaviors is the first step in helping to relieve these problems. Remember when you answer these questions to keep in mind your child's typical behavior within the last few months.

• A General Neuropsychological Deficits Scale with 8 subscales assessing Learning Difficulties, Memory Problems, and others
• Executive Dysfunctions of the Frontal Lobe scale (with 3 subscales)
• 11 Clinical Scales assessing psychotic thinking, aggression, emotional coldness, sleep disturbances, social anxiety, self-esteem, paranoia, apathy, hostility
• A Validity Scale which assesses excessive denial and malingering
